Entrepreneurship support schemes for the Tunisian diaspora
MEET Africa looks forward to seeing you on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 9am to 2pm for a morning of meetings, debates and lunch, dedicated to institutions, donors and development partners who support entrepreneurship in the Tunisian diaspora.
Our objectives are to facilitate exchanges and collaboration between ALL the players involved in diaspora entrepreneurship in the country, to promote the potential of the Tunisian diaspora, and also to take stock of existing support mechanisms for diaspora entrepreneurship in order to draw up a complete map.
On the program:
📌8h45to 9h15: Welcome of participants.
📌9:15am: Opening remarks, by representatives of MEET Africa, IOM, GIZ, DUE, AFD.
📌9h45 to 11h15: Presentation of programs active in Tunisia: Diaspora entrepreneurship in Tunisia,
with MEET Africa, GIZ, IOM, SWISSCONTACT, Créative Tunisia (to be confirmed).
📌11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Workshops - Debates
- Workshop 1: Identifying and engaging the diaspora: How to effectively identify and engage the Tunisian diaspora in entrepreneurial initiatives?
- Workshop 2: The role of institutions and donors: What role should they play? How can they better support diaspora entrepreneurship?
- Workshop 3: Financing Diaspora Projects: Exploring the sources of financing available to the diaspora. How can these mechanisms be made more accessible and effective for the diaspora?
- Workshop 4: Cultural, regulatory and administrative barriers: Cultural, administrative and regulatory challenges facing diaspora entrepreneurs.
