Ambitions and impacts
Our diasporas have talent!
MEET Africa 2 is a project to develop diaspora entrepreneurship between Europe and Africa, implemented by Expertise France from 2020 to 2024 and co-financed to the tune of 8.5 million euros by the European Union and the French Development Agency.
Its aim is to encourage the creation of sustainable businesses and jobs in Africa by mobilizing the talents and resources of diasporas living in Europe and/or newly resettled on the African continent.
MEET Africa operates in 5 partner countries: Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Senegal and Tunisia.
Since 2020, the :
- Supported 142 entrepreneurial projects and financed 116 of them through development and acceleration grants with a €2 million fund.
- Nearly 5,000 people attended capacity-building, networking and awareness-raising workshops on diaspora entrepreneurship.
- Develops specific content to support diaspora entrepreneurship in the dual Africa-Europe space.
